Accurate product grading is one of the most important features of a well functioning exchange: members need to be able to assess the value of an offer based on the quality/grade of your products in order to make an informed decision.  Below, please find our standardized grading chart.  Please rate your buds on a scale from 1-5 in increments of .5 based on the following criteria, (5 being the best):

Crystallization– Extremely heavy crystallization is optimal.

Density: Tight, dense buds are optimal.

Color Vibrance: Vibrant, highly contrasting buds with distinguishable genetics are optimal

Scent: Strong, genetically distinguishable and non grassy scents are optimal.

Trim: Little to no leaves is optimal.  Hand Trimmed.  Machine-trimmed buds may only receive a grade of 4 or lower.

Add up the total score of your buds and multiply by 4.  Then reference the chart below to determine grade.

A+=97-100

A=93-96

A-=90-92

B+=87-89

B=83-86

B-=80-82

C+=77-79

Explain the MMJ Exchange

The MMJE functions just like a commodities market, with a few extra bells and whistles that make it even more effective and valuable to both buyers and sellers. Members of the Exchange can place bids, which are offers to buy, or asks, which are offers to sell. Once an offer is submitted into the system, the other members can view it and decide whether to accept the offer or place a counter or offer.

The Importance of Anonymity

Anonymity is one of the central features of The MMJ Exchange. If buyers know exactly how much inventory a seller is sitting on, it can affect the price. Conversely, if sellers know a buyers need for product, this can also affect the price. The Exchange wants buyers and sellers to be protected from this sort of irrational market behavior, and so within our markets buyers and sellers are anonymous to each other until trades are consummated.
